They say I am a storyteller with a boundless imagination.
I’m an award-winning fantasy author, creating stories and imagining the lives of characters who feel like good friends. My stories are loosely based on the experiences and events of real people I’ve had the privilege of knowing. I’m also an artist of miniatures and spend hours planting on a historic small-acre farm, in my gardens and greenhouses, and with the animals, amused by the critters’ behaviors and relationships.
Here, on the website, I offer insights into my creativity and life as an author of novels, filled with fantasy, often inspired by the personalities of my chickens. I also share stories as a historic small-acreage farmer on what we sometimes call our ‘funny farm’, populated by rescues and hand-me-down dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, and horses. It’s definitely a place where authenticity isn’t a cliché- it’s a daily occurrence.
